Designed for aggressive big mountain ski touring, the new Backland 108 W for women offers sensational lift and greater touring efficiency in a lightweight, low-impact design. The FreeTour Profile uses more wood and less fiberglass and resin to create a harmonious flex, which allows for a powerful ski. An Ultra Light Woodcore poplar and caruba wood core provides the ideal balance of low weight and optimal stiffness, while a three-dimensional HRZN 3D tip adds more surface area for better flotation in deep snow. The Powder Rocker offers a pronounced tip and tail, with camber underfoot for effortless and fun maneuverability in powder, as well as on chipped and crusty snow. A reinterpretation of the original Backland construction, this ski is made with more low-carbon raw materials, more wood and less fiberglass, metal and resin, to reduce CO2 equivalent emissions by 26% (per compared to Backland 100.2022).
