Offering release value adjustment and flex absorption, the Atomic Backland Summit 9 BR is a versatile touring binding with maximum versatility and usability, making touring easy and accessible for all skiers. Trigger value adjustment provides trigger values up to 9 for reliable operation, safety and superior performance. The AutoFlex system includes a spring in the heel mechanism that automatically provides 5mm of toe-to-heel travel during the arc of a turn. The result is an easy-to-use binding that provides elasticity to support the natural flex of the ski and further improves safety, absorption and performance. A climbing aid easily adjusts from 0° to 7° or 13° with a flick of a ski pole and the touring brakes feature a unique locking system that easily switches from touring mode to ski. The patented starting aid guides the boot perfectly into position. The Alu/PA Pin Toe and heel use high-performance fiberglass-reinforced PA material to keep the binding lightweight for climbing, but strong and reliable for descending.
