An ultra-light poplar and caruba wood core provides the ideal balance between low weight and optimal performance and the three-dimensional HRZN 3D tip increases surface area for better flotation in deeper snow conditions. Powder Rocker offers prominent tip and tail rocker with camber underfoot for effortless, playful handling in deep powder, slush and chop. A reinterpretation of the original Backland, this ski is constructed with more wood and less fiberglass, metal and resin to reduce material-related CO2 equivalent emissions by 26% (compared to the Backland 100, 2022). Developed with input from skiers like Amie Engerbretson, it's the Backland 101 W's soulful performance and uphill efficiency that allows it to ski deeper into the mountains.
