This all-mountain freerider with a top-of-the-range construction is suitable for skiers who value performance but don't want to limit themselves to the piste or terrain. Its impressive carving performance is due to the three different radii of the 3D Radius Sidecut. Different parts of the ski are involved at different speeds and when the edges are engaged and disengaged, which helps it perfectly handle different turns, terrain and forces. The rocker in the tip and tail makes turn initiation smoother and forgives mistakes on deep powder or dirt slopes. The center radius is one meter shorter, which allows the ski to be steered with significantly less effort. With the Kenja 88 under your feet, you can take on everything the mountain has to offer. To ensure perfect handling across all lengths from 149 to 170 cm, tailor-made carbon tips and a tailor-made Titanal frame have been integrated into the Kenja 88 for this season. What does this mean? The Tailored Titanal frame that equips many Titanal Freeride models is a further development of our popular Titanal frame. In this design, the width of the Titanal upper belt can be adapted to the ski length; the resulting torsional stiffness and desired damping behavior can be tailored to the skier. The Titanal content is reduced in shorter skis, which means that smaller and lighter skiers can get the most out of their skis without excessive effort. The new Tailored Carbon Tips make the Kenja 88 particularly versatile. The carbon fibers applied using Tailored Fiber Placement (TFP) allow our engineers to influence the cornering behavior with great precision. The strength and alignment of the fibres define the force you have to apply and the energy that is stored where it is needed. The agile reaction to the shovel is a special feature. This means that as soon as you start a turn, you can steer the ski in a measured and easy manner. In other words, you just have to think about changing direction – and it happens. This construction also helps to reduce weight without any loss of stability. The new Kenja 88 with tip and tail rocker also features our famous multi-layer wood core surrounded by a full sidewall and a P-Tex 2100 base.
