Its impressive carving performance is due to the three different radii of the 3D Radius Sidecut. Different parts of the ski are involved at different speeds and when the edges are engaged and disengaged, allowing it to perfectly handle different turns, terrain and forces. The tip and tail rocker makes turn initiation easier and forgives mistakes on deep slopes with powder or crud. To ensure perfect glide on all lengths from 149 to 170 cm, carbon tips and a custom-made Titanal frame have been integrated into the Mantra 88. What does this mean? The custom-made Titanal frame, which is fitted to many Titanal freeride models, is a further development of our popular Titanal frame. In this design, the width of the Titanal upper belt can be adapted to the length of the ski; the resulting torsional stiffness and the desired damping behavior can be tailored to the skier. The Titanal content is reduced on shorter skis, which means that smaller and lighter skiers can get the most out of their skis without excessive effort. The custom-made carbon tips make the Secret 88 particularly versatile. The carbon fibers applied using Custom Fiber Placement (TFP) allow our engineers to influence the cornering behavior with great precision. The strength and alignment of the fibers define the force you need to apply and the energy that accumulates where it is needed. The agile reaction of the shovel is a feature to note in particular. This means that as soon as you start a turn, you can steer the ski in a measured and easy manner. In other words, just think about changing direction and it happens. This construction also helps to reduce weight without losing stability.
