You could say the term “all-mountain” was created especially for the Peregrine. Long, medium, or short turns, cruising or skiing at the limit, rutted or groomed slopes – if you’re ambitious about carving, look no further. With a 72 mm waist width, the Peregrine is perfect for those who like to carve quickly in all radiuses and sometimes really let loose. Completely revised and designed in bright colors for this winter, the Peregrine 72 is impossible to miss on the slopes. With a different geometry, a wider tip, and a shortened tip and tail rocker, this racing beast masters all turn radii and can change edges even faster thanks to its 72 mm waist. Long, medium, or short turns – if you’re ambitious about performance, look no further. Its versatility is amplified by custom-made carbon tips. Carbon fibers applied using Völkl's proprietary Tailored Fiber Placement (TFP) process allow our engineers to influence the turn behavior with great precision. The strength and alignment of the fibers define the force to be applied and the energy that builds where it's needed. The agile responsiveness of the tip is of particular note. This means that as soon as you initiate a turn, the ski begins to steer in a measured and controlled manner, depending on how the edges are used. This construction also reduces weight without sacrificing stability. Finally, TFP allows our designers to tailor each length to the needs of each target group. The entire Peregrine range is made with 3D.Glass in the front and back, while the ski is built around our renowned multi-layer wood core, composed of a blend of poplar and beech. Two full layers of Titanal give the ski its characteristic vigor. The Peregrine 72's handling is also enhanced by the R-Motion 3 GW binding. For younger and lighter skiers, the Peregrine 72 is available in a length shorter than 160 cm, or 158 cm to be precise.
